Naomi is the YWCA Silicon Valley’s Sr. Director of Social Justice. She was Executive Director of CHAC and West Valley Community Services, Assistant Director of Social Sector Ethics at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics/Santa Clara University, and Associate Director for Asian American Recovery Services. She’s worked as a social worker in various capacities, with nonprofit executive management focus. She has extensive experience in diversity/equity/inclusion, the development of prevention, intervention and treatment programs. She has extensive experience on non-profit boards, was appointed to the Commission on the Status of Women and Housing & Community Development Advisory Commission for SCC. She was an active school volunteer on the School Site Councils and chaired PSTA committees. She helped develop several youth organizations within her temple, was a high school and middle school youth group Advisor, Girl Scout Leader, and volunteered as a jail chaplain. She is a Senior Fellow with the American Leadership Forum, was recognized as 2009 “Woman of the Year” by State Senator Joe Simitian, the 2013 Asian Law Association
“Community Impact Honoree” and the “Sister to Sister”/Asian American Recovery Services 2014 “Legacy Award”. Naomi was elected to the Fremont Union High School District Board in November 2018.
