Telly Tse is serving in his first term as a Trustee for the Glendale Unified School District in Southern California.
Born in Los Angeles to Chinese immigrants, Tse is a product of Alhambra public schools. He went on to earn a degree in History at UCLA and a Masters in Special Education at CSULA.
For the last fifteen years, Telly has worked as a special education teacher at the Beverly Hills Unified School District. During this time, Telly has also served as President of the Beverly Hills Education Association helping his colleagues achieve increases to their wages and health benefits. In addition, he has served as a mentor teacher and as a member of the Peer Assistance and Review Committee and the School Site Council.
In addition, Telly is actively involved in the labor movement. He has served on the Board of Directors of both the California Teachers Association and the National Education Association and is a past president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance. For his work and contributions to social justice and the labor movement, Telly was honored with a CTA Human Rights Award in 2022.
Telly and his family live in La Crescenta where he is an active coach and volunteer in the community.
